The Brunel Tour

This unique behind-the-scenes tour reveals the hidden depths of the Old Bristol Station, an architectural landmark designed and built by the industrious Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Bristol's original station is located next to the current main station at Temple Meads and is the world's oldest surviving purpose-built railway terminus, pre-dating London Paddington by over a decade. Completed in 1841, it was regarded as a 'wonder of the Victorian Age'. It finally closed in 1965 and is now home to the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum.

Dorset Gardens Trust Event at Thornhill House

The Dorset Gardens Trust 2008 GARDEN DAY will be at THORNHILL HOUSE near Stalbridge on Sunday July 6th from 10am – 5pm, entry £5. Thornhill will provide a magnificent setting for a great day out, with specialist plant sales, stalls, displays, lectures and a variety of refreshments.

CLOVELLY MARITIME FESTIVAL in aid of North Devon Hospice

Our third annual Maritime Festival, once again held in support of the North Devon Hospice, with something for all ages to enjoy: juggling, Punch and Judy, puppet theatre, shanty singers, treasure hunt, a hog roast on the beach and much more.

West of England Steam Rally

West of England Steam Rally, The largest steam rally in the South West. A great day out for all the family.

As well as the Engines The West of England Steam Engine Society rally provides a wide variety of entertainment each year. There is always some form of stage entertainment in the evenings, and children's entertainment, as well as the fun fair. The main attraction will appear in the main ring or the new rural ring.
