Prior Park was created by local entrepreneur Ralph Allen with the advice of the poet Alexander Pope and Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity and offers an enjoyable an invigorating one mile walk (steep in places).
The garden is known for its rural setting close to the World Heritage City of Bath. Features include the Palladian Bridge, one of only four in the world, a series of lakes and the sham bridge.
